everybody is that a new cnn poll out shows a majority of americans believe that the white house misstatements were based on the best information that officials had at the time. 40% say there was no cover-up. so jonathan, does this meeting give the senators, you know, because of that? and we look at this poll, i mean how american people feel about this. does this meeting give the senators basically new ground to move forward on to try to discredit or try to claim that there's some type of deeper cover-up that went on prior to the election? >> well, looking at those results, it was -- it would seem to me that, you know, the senators took a big risk here because the majority of the american people think the administration put out information, the best information they had at the time, which is what susan rice did. and i think the other danger for these senators is that they look incredibly petty going after ambassador rice when as doug said and i said and susan recognizes is that the bigger issue here is the security questions and how it was possible that four americans, including
